COMMUNITY EVENT HIGHLIGHT

Downtown Elmira Moonlight Madness

Quite possibly the coziest winter night other than Christmas itself, Downtown Elmira hosts a wonderful 'moonlight madness' event packed full of activities for people of all ages.

I mean look at that list... It screams fun.

I'm looking forward to checking out the ice sculpture carvings in particular and looking around some of the shops.

Mark your calendars for December 5th, and you can click here for more details/to RSVP on Facebook.

FOOD & DRINK IN THE REGION

The Crazy Canuck | "A True Taste of Canada - Where Local Flavours Meet Comfort Food"

2 locations: 845 Weber St. N, Waterloo & 141 Ontario Street, Kitchener

"At Crazy Canuck, we’re passionate about serving up hearty, delicious dishes made with locally sourced ingredients and a whole lot of love. Whether you're craving a Classic Poutine, a Juicy Burger, or a Delicious Pizza, we’ve got something to satisfy every appetite."

I've been a few times to both locations and what a great group of people making excellent food. The customer service is top-notch and the food prepared with love & care.

Their Waterloo location is conveniently located by the Farmers Market, while their Kitchener location is in the heart of downtown.

As always, don't just take my word. Here's a 5 star review from Christian who absolutely loved the poutine:

"I tried the classic poutine from Crazy Canuck, and it was everything you'd want - crispy fries, perfectly squeaky cheese curds, and rich, savoury gravy that tied it all together. The portion was generous, and the flavours were spot-on. No frills, just a solid, comforting plate of poutine done right. Would definitely go back for it!"

You can check out their menu here - and I'd recommend just about anything.. can't go wrong!

* this is not a sponsored placement, just a favourite of mine. ads will always be made obvious if so.

RANDOM FACTS OF THE DAY

A Day on Venus is Longer than its Year: Venus rotates so slowly that one rotation (a Venusian "day") takes about 243 Earth days, while it only takes about 225 Earth days to complete an orbit around the Sun (a Venusian "year").

The Smallest Bone: The smallest bone in the human body is the stapes (or stirrup) bone, located in the middle ear. It measures only about 3mm long.

The Oldest Recorded Noise: The oldest recorded noise that has been played back is a French folk song, "Au clair de la lune," recorded on a phonautograph in 1860.

THANK YOU!

Hope the rest of your day goes nicely and we'll see you Thursday. 🐝
